I'm a tad eclectic, mildly eccentric, opinionated and yet I have a calm interior. I work night shift in home health, and by day I do art, mostly wildly painted furniture, multimedia sculpture, mosaic work and textile art but I dabble in lots of things. I am also a survivor... of the trauma known as life. I get knocked down from time to time, but I always get back up, more determined than ever to push onward.

Cool idea for rolled paper beads... this artist uses them in sorta a mosaic format by stitching or gluing them in place for 100% coverage to create her art. The end result is rather cool looking IMHO.

From the page: "sense the application of mathematics (geometry). A great article on "The Symmetries of Culture" .... truly an interesting read on the application of mathematics (or geometry) to surface ornamentation and artistic design....including some great info on barkcloth.

An amazingly honest, soul exposing piece of outsider art by RS Connett. A self made memorial of sorts, a weighing in by this artist marking the start of his journey towards coming to terms with his addictions and short comings. This kind of public insight might just save this talented artist from himself. I have always thought his work was dark, makes one wonder what his art will become if he truly wins this battle against his own inner demons. I hope he makes it.
